NatHers Assessment:

Using the endorsed modelling software Blue Banded Bee Building
Sustainability measures and reports on the energy efficiency of a
residence based upon its design, construction materials and
location.

The NatHers assessment can demonstrate compliance with National
Construction Code (NCC) energy efficiency requirements.
A NatHers assessment may include certification of compliance with
NCC, stamped plans, Energy Efficiency report with optimisation
strategies.

In NSW NatHers certification can be used to demonstrate
compliance with the Thermal Performance targets in BASIX.
NatHers Whole of Home assessment:

Blue Banded Bee Building Sustainability can provide a NatHERS
Whole of Home rating which measures the energy use of the whole
home including appliances, solar and batteries.

BASIX Assessment:

Blue Banded Bee Building Sustainability can generate BASIX (Building Sustainability Index) certificates for all types of residential projects. A BASIX certificate is a mandatory requirement in NSW for new residential building and renovations, demonstrating achievement of minimum targets for water use, energy use, thermal performance and reporting of material embodied energy.

Energy Efficiency Report:

Compliance with the codes is not the only reason for analysing buildings for energy efficiency. Understanding how a building performs and making decisions to improve energy efficiency helps create homes and buildings which are more comfortable, and are more affordable to run.

In the big picture, improving energy efficiency will help the residential building sector reduce carbon emissions, thereby minimising its impact on the environment.

An Energy Efficiency Report may be an assessment of an existing building (perhaps prior to a renovation or sale) or a new building.

It may include site measurements and data collection, analysis and assessment of household energy use. It can include a full NatHers assessment if required. An Energy Efficiency Report includes advice on ways to improve energy efficiency and conservation in the home considering cost, client’s requirements and design intent.
